Serving as the current President of the Governance Board, Mike has been a longtime advocate and supporter of Rocket Academy well before it was founded in 2021. From when the concept of the school was simply an idea between District leadership and community business partners, through today with the first cohort of enrolled students, Mike has been deeply involved with the development of Rocket Academy's unique program offerings and career-based opportunities made available to its students. Mike is a former educator who taught Middle School Science / Social Studies, as well as Special Education and has a Master’s Degree in Urban Special Education. For the past seven years Mike has served as the Vice President of K-12 and Instructor Training initiatives at LAB Midwest based out of Mequon, WI, and he continues to work with school districts across their seven-state territory in developing technical education programs that will support the next generation of STEM and workforce talent.
