Rocket Academy celebrates new Advanced Technology Learning Center opening Thursday | Washington County Daily News
Rocket Academy, a tuition-free public charter high school for 11th- and 12th-grade students focusing on technical manufacturing and employability skills, celebrated the opening of its new Advanced Technology Learning Center, at 255 Lakeview Drive, with an open house event on Thursday.
According to a news release, attendees at the event had the opportunity to interact with key Rocket Academy stakeholders, including the governance council, Cedar Grove-Belgium school board members and regional educational partners from Lakeland University, Lakeshore College and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

An innovative new school for technical education that once hung in the balance now has machinery and classroom space in a shiny new facility to call home.
Rocket Academy, the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District’s charter school, held an official opening of its building in Belgium last Thursday to a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters and partners, none more excited than the students who demonstrated some of the machines for visitors.

Rocket Academy, a tuition-free public charter high school for 11th and 12th grade students focusing on technical manufacturing and employability skills is celebrating the opening of their new advanced technology learning center on November 14th.
“Our staff, students and business partners are thrilled with the opening of the new advanced technology learning center in Belgium, WI. Our new lab space will allow the Rocket Academy to provide state of the art, hands-on learning opportunities in precision machining, welding fabrication, HVAC, and electro-mechanical technology,” commented Mike Dietrich, President of the Rocket Academy Governance Council.

With the need for skilled workers at near-historic levels, employers and students alike have something to celebrate in the Rocket Academy – a hands-on technology lab of the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District. The academy, dedicated in a Thursday evening ceremony, is now housed in a Village of Belgium building which, given its modest exterior, gives little indication of what’s inside. That would be the devices, many of them a marriage of computers and machines, that populate the lab, and are the foundation of modern manufacturing.
